THE INTERNET TODAY AND FOREVER
I believe the future of web design lies with the separation of form from content, semantic content and searchability, accessibility and (someday) web standards. Also, MAKING IT EASIER through Content Management Systems. Quality typography is still pretty far down the wishlist, but it will get here eventually.
CHICAGO'S HANDPAINTED SIGNS
is a collaboration with my friend Bec, a Drupal programmer who mostly works with maps. The site is mostly done, but we are both really busy right now so we haven't figured out what to do with it next. Eventually, I think it'll be super fun for Chicagoans to play around with. If you've got thoughts on it email me.
FEARLESS CITY
is a project I worked on during my contract with Gallery Gachet. This site is intended to be a central source for DTES arts, culture and community events as well as a blogging platform for local writers. It's built with Drupal. I designed the new theme and front page, which was primarily coded by Raincity Studios. After they handed off the theme I made quite a few updates (to the CSS and Views mostly) based on user feedback.
ESTATE GALLERY
This website was intentionally disgusting looking, but still beautiful in a repulsive way.
